I’ve never been exposed to online training. How does it work?

Online training has become a very popular method because of its accessibility. Previously, you were limited to working with coaches in your proximity, and those coaches may not have the specific knowledge you are seeking and likely charge a steep hourly rate. Through the TRAINHEROIC software, you have access to our program right on your phone! No need to print out workouts, you will have all the info at your fingertips and will have the ability to track workouts and stay accountable with the leaderboard system. Each movement has a demo video attached so you know exactly what to do and how to do it! Also, you will be able to communicate with a coach through our private Facebook group & directly in app.

What level of commitment does the program involve?

If you’re serious about improving your performance, we believe commitment and trust in the program is integral. However, we know you may have a busy schedule and may not enjoy spending copious amounts of time in the gym which is why our program is infinitely scalable and adaptable. Ultimately, you will get out what you put in.

What is TrainHeroic?

TRAINHEROIC is the strength & conditioning software we use to build and deliver our program. They allow you to log your workouts in less than 10 seconds a day with real-time analytics and results tracking. You also will be able to access a leaderboard to compare your results with others. Through TRAINHEROIC, you will have an incredibly powerful fitness tool at your fingertips.

Athlete

Which program is right for me?

It depends! If your goal is to compete, or if you are serious about your fitness, then you should follow the compete program. If you simply want something to supplement your existing sport activities, keep you out of injury, and help you enjoy your sport more, then the Weekend Warrior program is likely up your alley. We also offer a youth athlete program which is perfect for those with little to no training experience. This program is called ‘Foundations’ and is also great for those without gym access.

Do I need a gym membership to follow the program?

It depends! If you are following the ‘Compete’ programming option, then yes. However, all workouts can be modified and made to work with whatever equipment (or lack thereof). Our goal is to get you moving well with whatever you have available, but we do recommend that you have access to a gym. The Foundations program has options for those without gym access.

I have never lifted weights before. How will I learn?

All our workouts have detailed descriptions and movement demos. That being said, it helps to get a set of coach’s eyes on you. Shoot us an email at info@actionperformancetraining.com as we do offer individual training and movement assessments. If we are unable to provide assistance, we can certainly send you to someone who can see you on-site/locally.

I’m a coach. Do you offer team programming?

Our program is perfect for a team! Send us an email as we offer discounts to teams as well as team partnership options where you (a coach) can earn a % of each program signup.

How do I get my athletes to recognize the importance of strength & conditioning?

Buy in is HUGE when in comes to success in any training program. We understand that not everyone is stoked on spending time in the gym. However, it is important that your athletes understand that putting the work in the gym will allow them to spend MORE time out of the gym and will help them stay healthier while doing so. Our program is specifically tailored towards athletes who would rather spend their time doing their sport, which is why we only write workouts with movements that will provide maximal results in the lowest time requirement. My child has never been in the gym, how will they learn the movements properly?

All our workouts have detailed descriptions and movement demos. Our foundational (youth) program option is very basic, and focuses on building quality movement patterns. That being said, it may help for them to have a coach watch them move at first. Shoot us an email at info@actionperformancetraining.com as we do offer individual training and movement assessments. If we are unable to provide assistance, we can certainly send you to someone who can help.

I want my child to build a strong foundation to prevent injury and maximize long-term performance. How do I get my child to recognize the importance of strength & conditioning?

Being a process oriented & growth minded individual is so important in the long-term success of an individual and/or athlete. We understand that your child may not be overly enthusiastic about spending time working out. However, it is important that they understand that putting the work in now will help them SO MUCH in the future. If they want to have a long career in their sport, or at least enjoy doing it for a long-time, the work they put in now will greatly affect that outcome. Our program is specifically tailored towards athletes who would rather spend their time doing their sport, which is why we only write workouts with movements that will provide maximal results in the lowest time requirement.
